Early Head Start is a home-based early intervention and support program for families of young children with developmental delays. The program acts as a liaison between child, family and specialized therapists, helps families develop goals and monitors progress toward goal attainment.
All families enrolled in Early Head Start receive on-going service coordination. A Service Coordinator serves as the family’s single point of contact, helping the family obtain the services that are needed. Part of this role includes facilitating coordination and access, monitoring timely delivery of services, and informing parents of the availability of community resources and advocacy services, as they are needed.
Our early intervention team of special education teachers, social workers and service coordinators share their expertise to educate and demonstrate how family members, caregivers and other influential people in the child's life can take a proactive role in helping the child reach their developmental and learning potential.
