The goal of the Next Door Fatherhood Initiative is to enable fathers to contribute to the developmental and economic well-being of their children and to strengthen the role of fathers in families. Strong families are essential to the future of our community, and that both mothers and fathers play an essential roles the lives of their children. The Fatherhood Program has expanded services that benefit the community at large through hospitals, public schools and county correctional facilities.
Fatherhood Enrichment Program/ Conscious Fathering Workshop:
The Conscious Fathering Workshops specifically provide support and information for new and expectant dads. Fathers receive information on the basics of parenting, child safety, infant brain development, parent/child bonding and parent-to-parent communication. Topics covered include:
Man to Man Group:
The Man to Man group engages experienced fathers to serve as mentors to young fathers who have graduated from the Conscious Fathering Workshops. This group of men get together regularly to discuss a wide variety of topics including:
Man to Man meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, from 5:30pm-7:00pm, at Next Door Foundation and every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am-11:30am at Our Savior’s Church located at 3022 W.
